QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree is preferred. However, the experience will be considered instead of education; a minimum of 2 years of experience in grant management and preparation;
excellent oral and written skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and provide technical assistance in abstract preparation, grant development, and completion of applications;
- Disseminate information to staff regarding grant announcements, regulations, and guidelines from federal, state, and private sources;
- Meet with staff for proposal and budget development;
- Work closely with outside agencies and administrative staff in the proposal development process and preparation of specific applications;
- providing budgets, projections, and funding information as well as preparing special reports as needed;
- Responsible for Title I and II budget preparation and application submission, coordinating the needs assessment data required by Title I regulations;
- Responsible for interpreting and translating AFDC (Aid to Families with Dependent Children) data to meet the attendance area eligibility of Title I;
Provide technical assistance and collaborate with Parochial / Private School on grant applications and submission of purchase orders / agreements acts as the Liaison for the district
- Provide special reports to Curriculum Committee of Board regarding special funds applications, the status of requests for funding, and other information as requested;
- Ensure that all procedures required in the application process are followed before the transmittal of applications, including attachments, assurances, and signatures;
- Follow up on grant application through contact with state, federal, and private officials;
- Prepare letters on behalf of the Superintendent in support of educational special projects and legislation;
