Job Title : Working Pest Control Manager
Help us grow our business! We are looking for a go getter that is willing to do both sales and pest control as we build our business.
Summary
Responsible for identifying, selecting, mixing, and applying products or manual solutions to eliminate pests. Applies appropriate solutions, including chemical or trap solutions and removes live and / or dead rodents.
All of these services are designed to protect and maintain a pest / rodent free environment for residential and commercial customers.
Pest Control Professionals are expected to work independently to complete daily route assignments while providing a high level of customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop the knowledge and skills to make appropriate inspections of buildings and premises for signs of pests or infestations.
Study preliminary reports and diagrams of infested area and determine treatment type required to eliminate and prevent recurrence of infestation.
Accurately measure the dimensions of the area needing treatment.
Effectively apply products, solutions, powders, baits, and equipment on or near surfaces of a building or house to eliminate pests.
Utilize appropriate protective gear and equipment during application, as well as comply with all other safety procedures.
Ensure that there is access to all infested areas and identify if there is any structural damage. Be sure that mechanical traps are set and bait is placed correctly.
Remove all dead rodents after extermination. When using powder, make sure to clean and remove pesticides after application.
- Communicate with customers in a friendly and professional manner. Communicate the selling points of all services and how each service benefits the customer so the customer understands the sequence of treatments, number of applications, price, payment options, and any special instructions which follow the sale.
- Effectively manage your time, planning, organizing, and routing daily work efficiently. Achieve production goals and complete assigned work including assigned service calls and estimates on a daily basis.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record and operate company vehicles in a safe manner following the Rules of the Road applicable for the state laws where driving.
Comply with the policies and procedures in the Motor Vehicle Program.
Practice an attitude of caution and safety in all areas of your work using safety equipment as instructed and in accordance with any applicable laws.
Participate in all safety training. Immediately report problems or concerns regarding safety in any area of the operation to a supervisor.
Promptly report any injury or accident that occurs while you are on the job.
Clean and service vehicles and equipment daily. Follow the preventive maintenance schedule prescribed by a supervisor. Check equipment daily for proper operating condition and thoroughly complete equipment and vehicle inspection forms as required.
Operate all equipment in a safe manner.
Ensure that all uniforms, vehicles, equipment and customer-related materials are clean, neat and in compliance with appearance standards.
Project a professional, personal, and company image that conveys the highest level of Consistency, Appreciation, Results and Efficiency.
Conduct your professional life while on work time in accordance with Professional Code and Mission / Vision Statement.
- Regular and predictable attendance is required to complete production goals and provide timely service to customers.

Education and / or Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of the biology of a wide range of pests in order to develop plans for removal and / or extermination.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid driver’s license required with good driving record. Employee’s driving record subject to insurability requirements of company insurance carrier.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals and maps.
Ability to write simple correspondence. Compose legible and accurate customer communication messages. Ability to effectively present information in one-on one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
Read, recall and apply regulatory and procedural instructions to work processes as applicable.
Mathematical Skills
Basic math skills required including ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to compute percentage of whole numbers.
Track, calculate, and report product usage.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding and to carry out instructions furnished in oral and written form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Computer Skills
Ability to interpret geographic routing data from GPS or computer-generated route schedules. Ability to use Spring-Green proprietary customer and job tracking software.
Physical Demands
Stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and balance for >

- Be able to lift 50 lb. bags of product to a height of at least 4 feet and carry up to 30 foot distances, for < 1 / 3 of an 8-10 hour shift.
- Grasp, pull, drag, guide and maneuver a spray hose that is up to 400-feet long for repeated increments of up to 100 feet, for >
2 / 3 of an 8-10 hour shift.
- Sit in vehicle to drive for distances up to 50 mile segments intermittently for between 1 / 3 and 2 / 3 of an 8-10 hour shift.
- Visual requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus with or without corrective lenses.
Work Environment
- Work out of doors in temperatures that range from the teens to over 90 degrees for < 2 / 3 of an 8-10 hour shift.
- Potential for exposure to humid, rainy, windy, foggy and dry conditions while working out of doors and driving.
- Work indoors up to >
2 / 3 or an 8-10 hour shifts in clean and dirty environments.
Daily use of registered pesticide chemicals for >
