Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Project Specialist located in the Southeastern region (Charlotte, NC) with a focus on our Strategic Accounts.

As the primary technical liaison between the customer and our company (SEE), you will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining strong relationships, driving sales growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Job Description

Responsibilities include :

  • Customer Interface :
  • Serve as the main point of contact and build strong relationships with various functional areas within our Strategic Customers, including R&D, Marketing, Procurement, Engineering, and others.
  • Understand and address customer needs, concerns, and requirements to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Effectively communicate technical information and provide solutions to customer inquiries or issues.
  • Sales Growth :
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities with our Strategic Customers.
  • Assist in developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth for both new and existing opportunities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to identify potential areas for business expansion.
  • Technical Expertise :
  • Develop a deep understanding of our products, services, and technical capabilities to effectively communicate their value proposition to the customer.
  • Provide technical guidance, support, and training to both internal teams and customers.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as R&D and Engineering, to address customer-specific requirements or challenges.
  • Project Management :
  • Coordinate and manage projects involving cross-functional teams, ensuring timely delivery and successful implementation of solutions.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and take appropriate actions to mitigate them.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including project plans, reports, and customer communications.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications :

  • BA / BS Degree; MS preferred in Food Science, Meat Science, Packaging, Agricultural Scientist or related disciplines preferred.
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into clear and concise information for non-technical audiences.
  • Project management experience, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the food industry, specifically within the meat processing sector, is highly desirable.
  • Willing to travel up to 50% to customer sites and attend industry events as needed.

Additional Qualifications :

  • Computer aptitude and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge / experience with a wide variety of packaging applications and products
  • Comfortable in sales interactions / situations.
  • Ability to drive projects independently.
  • Self-starter
