Job Summary
The Director of National Accounts will prospect new clients for national business opportunities while maintaining relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business.
They will be responsible for providing estimated budgets that support the client’s vision, maintaining a profitability threshold of 45% for each event, and working to reach the annual revenue performance goals established by INSPIRE.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Lead and motivate INSPIRE team members.
- Provide guidance and development daily to the team.
- Complete employee reviews on an annual basis.
- Work with leadership to assign and monitor individual sales goals for team members.
- Review event proposals with Account Executives or Account Managers.
- Contact national sales lead sources, including but not limited to : Convention and Visitors Bureau’s calendar, Internet searches.
- Monitor in-market client lists to ensure information is kept up to date.
- Operate seamlessly with both Sales and Operations.
- Demonstrate evidence of organization and accountability in position.
- Uphold excellent customer sales and service skills under pressure.
- Articulate in communicating ideas, concepts, and directions clearly and concisely.
- Maintain grooming to company standards and the standards of our clients.
- Maintain excellence in customer service, organization, and problem-solving.
- Establish credit accounts for events invoicing over $10,000.
- Work with Accounts Receivable on invoicing.
- Create Credit Memos when appropriate.
- Complete a Job Cost on all events invoicing over $5,000 pre-tax.
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
College Degree preferred, but will consider equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 7 years in a sales capacity in the AV, event, hotel, or related field.
Skills and Specifications
- Experience in telemarketing sales a plus.
- Experience in strategic sales account management.
- Shows potential in creative and financial skills necessary for career advancement.
