Assistant Product Manager, Marketing

This position manages products and services from ideation to sunsetting to optimize cost, value, and cycle time in support of CPH's mission and business plan goals.
Specific duties include :
- Optimizes, reviews, and maintains product metadata across ERP / Web systems to achieve maximum discoverability across all Marketing and Sales channels.
- Works closely with internal and external partners to ensure product metadata is ready for transmission to trade partners via ONIX / Edelweiss, including Amazon, Christianbook, and Ingram.
- Assists in identifying product opportunities through analysis of target consumer research, market trends, and competition.
- Collaborates with Marketing Managers to set up, test, and launch tagalongs. Monitors tagalong velocity and makes recommendations as needed.
- Analyzes sales trends to make recommendations on reprints. Coordinates with internal partners to ensure product stock levels meet customer needs.
- Communicates Marketing needs for setup and testing of promo codes, coordinating with internal partners in Sales, Finance, and Customer Service.
Ensures marketing promotions launch accurately and on time.
Prepares and maintains appropriate records for new item setup, price changes, change of status notifications, and other product updates.
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities :
- Demonstrated experience with maintaining, extracting, and optimizing data via ERP and website platforms, working with and preparing metadata for external partners, including Amazon, Christianbook, and Ingram.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams through product ideation, launch, and maintenance.
- Skilled in handling competing demands while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to accept and provide constructive feedback.
- Proficiency using the Microsoft Suite of products (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong understanding of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and the Christian publishing industry.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or related field. Two years of experience in marketing or related field.
