What You Need to Know
Salary Range : $45,000.00 - $46,924.80 (Based on selected hire's qualifications)

Responsibilities
Program Coordination - Coordinates the National Fellowships Program including : recruitment and selection processes for internal and external awards.
Coordinates campus nomination processes for core scholarships (Rhodes, Marshall, Mitchell, Churchill, Truman, Goldwater, Boren, Fulbright, Gilman, Gaither, Udall, Freeman-ASIA, and Astronaut) as well as non-core awards that feed into these competitions.
Coordinates program's assessment and evaluation. Maintains program records and databases. Coordinates logistics and travel for program seminars, workshops, orientations, and other special events.
Purchases program materials. Prepares program reports for students, prospective students, TAMU, and the community. Researches and recommends changes to existing programs.
Compiles program statistics.
Administrative - Serves as first point of contact for program information and coordinates responses to requests for program information.
Supports maintenance of office databases. Tracks and monitors program budget. Assists with committee meetings and materials.
Prepares program correspondence.
Student Advising - Maintains office hours to advise students on National Fellowships opportunities. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two years of program coordination, research coordination, higher education, or closely related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Ability to use Word, Excel spreadsheet, and database programs.
- Organizational planning and problem-solving skills with strong interpersonal communication skills.
- The ability to effectively interact with all levels of the university community (students, faculty, administrators, staff).
- Demonstrated evidence of ability to work effectively as part of a team to creatively solve problems.
- Experience creating social media posts and strong writing and speaking skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Familiarity with the National Fellowships Program at Texas A&M University.
- Experience editing and working with students to improve essays, resumes, and other pieces of writing.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible in a changing environment while exercising initiative to accomplish tasks.
- Ability to interact professionally with students, parents, and all levels of university staff regarding student issues especially regarding deadlines, emergencies, and delicate situations.
