Description :

We are looking for an Instructional Designer to join our Learning and Development Team. The Instructional Designer designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, clients, or other learners.

Consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum.

Writes and edits outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs.

Builds out the structure in the LMS software and collaboration tools selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness.

Work is generally independent and collaborative with the Instructional Design team.

What You Will Do :

• Creates learning experiences and environments.
• Designs learning activities, assignments, and assessments.
• Creates computer-based training (CBT) modules and storyboards.
• Develops instructor’s manuals and other learning tools.
• Collaborates with subject experts to develop course content.
• Manages a knowledge base and LMS site.
• Analyzes, updates, and refines existing online content.
• Trains instructors how to best employ learning strategies to hit desired learning metrics.
• Facilitates discussion and collaboration with SMEs and stakeholders.
• Keeps current on best practices in instructional design.
• Writes scripts for video and audio content.
• Ability to assess learning to produce the best learner-centric environment and best overall business results.

Requirements :

Education & Experience :

• BS, MS, or higher degree in instructional design, adult learning, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in instructional design.
• Confidence with Adobe Suite, Articulate, Camtasia platforms, and SharePoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; superior interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements :

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, typically in a cubicle environment (constant noise, fluorescent overhead lighting).
