Detailed Description
The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) provides transportation services for 150,000-200,000 customers on atypical weekdays, or about 45 million rides annually, through a variety of services, including HealthLine, bus, Paratransit, light rail, heavy rail, and vanpools.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager - Mechanical Engineering.
Position Responsibilities
This position provides project management direction and compliance for overall customer care of internal and external clients for small to large projects.
Projects will focus on Mechanical Systems such as HVAC, Boilers, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Fixed Machinery and their integration into associated building systems and components.
Responsibilities include :
- Creating business cases for project funding approval and monitoring project financials to ensure conformity to budget and schedule.
- Developing and maintaining an integrated project planning and execution approach, status reporting, and issue resolution.
- Ensuring alignment of efforts and deliverables across internal teams, consultants, and contractors.
- Developing project plans, estimates, and specifications conforming to all applicable building codes and standards, local, state, and Federal regulations.
- Coordinating project delivery with internal staff from Engineering and Operating Divisions.
- Resolving project impacts through clarification, Request for Information, and Change Order processes.
- Serving as the single point of contact for projects both facility- and Authority-wide.
Job Requirements
Applicants must have a minimum of five (5) years prior project management experience leading a variety of small to large scale mechanical system / components and related building projects.
Additional requirements include :
- Experience in at least one of the following mechanical areas : HVAC, Boilers, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and system controls.
- A bachelor’s degree in an Engineering Science, preferably Mechanical.
- Project Management certification (PMP) is a plus.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, along with strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- The ability to communicate complex technical concepts.
- Self-management, high motivation, and proficiency in managing teams.
- A strong working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management software such as MS Project, Primavera, or related programs.
- A proven track record of successful execution and delivery of mechanical projects.
