Manufacturing Supervisor
Schedule : Mon - Fri 6am - 2 : 30pm
Pay Rate : $100k+
Duties and Responsibilities :
The Manufacturing Manager is required to work in all the areas of production floor, supervising all aspects of the production operation.
This position is a hands-on position within the production area.
Works closely with materials, engineering, quality, and other staff to ensure delivery
schedules are met, parts are available as needed, and quality is maintained.
Effectively manages individuals and teams including performance management, conflict
resolution, work scheduling, training, and successful accomplishment of delivery and
quality objectives.
- Provide coaching and performance communication to support development.
- Ensure the desired product quality levels are achieved through use of standard work and
training to those standards, training in operation and inspection techniques, and use of
tools / data
Support and implement new, customer-focused processes in accordance with lean
principles and practices.
- Support and foster an environment of continuous improvement by encouraging production staff to challenge existing processes and implement solutions that enhance the overall effectiveness of the operation
- Support production staff in understanding company policies and practices
- Maintain time and production records.
- Communicate with and listen to production staff on a daily basis regarding work team performance, strategic initiatives, policy changes, safety, quality, etc.
- Communicate with other supervisors and appropriate personnel regarding equipment, safety, work center schedules, company policies and practices, performance improvement plans, etc.
- This position requires a passion and understanding for Lean, Six Sigma, 5-S and driving continuous improvement.
- Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements
- Maintains a current training / skill matrix.

Work Experience and Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Engineering discipline / equivalent preferred.
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment
- 5-7+ years supervisory experience in high-technology manufacturing required.
- 3-5+ years’ experience in semiconductor capital equipment or related industry highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of quick-turn, engineer-to-order environment desired.
- Experience in cycle time, yield, or cost improvement projects desired.
- Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and
constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results
Ability to work effectively with operations and other groups to ensure that site delivery
and quality issues are met.
Ability to travel approximately 5% (if required)
Physical Demands :
- Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp.
- Ability to stand for sustained periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to move arms, hands, and fingers.
- Ability to Talk on phone and use computer for extended periods of time may be required.
- Environmental Exposure : Works in a manufacturing area, with some changes of temperature, as well as
throughout the premises.
Environmental Exposure : Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, exposure to
chemicals and debris.
Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.
