Payroll Clerk
LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a payroll clerk for a client just north of Cincinnati, OH. The Payroll Clerk is responsible for performing a variety of payroll-related duties to ensure the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, including the calculation and distribution of bonuses and commissions.
This role requires a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies and federal / state regulations.
This position is temp to hire and will pay between $21 and $24 / hr.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and process payroll for all company employees on a timely basis.
- Calculate wages, bonuses, and commissions accurately based on employee agreements and performance metrics.
- Ensure all payroll transactions are compliant with company policies and federal / state regulations.
- Calculate and verify bonuses and commissions based on established criteria and sales performance.
- Coordinate with the sales and finance departments to gather necessary data for accurate bonus and commission calculations.
- Maintain detailed records of all bonus and commission payouts.
- Maintain payroll records and files, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Update employee records with changes in employment status, compensation, benefits, and tax withholding.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, providing clear and accurate information.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing, including bonuses and commissions.
- Experience with payroll software (, ADP, Paychex) is highly desirable.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
