Position Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Procurement to lead our Purchasing and Sourcing departments.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Supply Chain, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the procurement strategy, driving cost efficiencies, and ensuring seamless integration of procurement functions across the merged entities.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in procurement, supplier management, and team leadership, with best-in-class responsibility.
Responsibilities :
Strategic Procurement : Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and market trends.
Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation.
Commodity Management : Lead the strategic management of key commodities, including analysis of market dynamics, supplier capabilities, and cost drivers.
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure a reliable and competitive supply chain .
- Purchasing Process Optimization : Define and implement best-in-class purchasing processes and procedures. Streamline workflows, enhance automation, and leverage technology to drive efficiency and accuracy in procurement operations.
- Supplier Collaboration and Consolidation : Work closely with suppliers to drive collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation and rationalization to optimize costs and reduce complexity.
- Cost Out Projects : Lead sourcing activities to identify and execute cost-out projects across various categories. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for value engineering, alternative materials, and process optimization
- Category Management : Develop and implement category strategies to optimize sourcing decisions and maximize value. Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and supplier evaluations to inform category plans and initiatives.
- Contract Negotiations : Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, quality standards, and contractual terms.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
MSA and SLA Management : Develop and manage Master Services Agreements (MSAs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with key suppliers.
Monitor supplier performance against agreed-upon metrics and take corrective actions as needed
KPI Tracking and Reporting : Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of procurement operations.
Provide regular reports and analysis to senior management on procurement performance and initiatives.
Requirements
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10-12 years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, and supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of success in developing and executing procurement strategies, achieving cost savings, and driving operational excellence.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, including ERP systems, e-procurement platforms, and data analytics tools.
- Knowledge of industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory requirements in procurement and supply chain management.
