Our client, a well-known retail / apparel company, is looking for an Assistant Photo Art Director to join their team for a 3-6 month contract in City of Industry, CA.
This position requires working onsite 5 days a week.
You'll manage online photography to ensure it meets brand and industry standards. You'll direct photoshoots for products, ensuring they highlight the features and benefits.
Responsibilities :
- Plan and oversee on-set e-commerce photoshoots.
- Collaborate with the Styling Manager to meet business needs for seasonal campaigns.
- Edit, select, and provide feedback on photos to ensure timely completion.
- Work with the Creative Director, Styling Manager, and Production team to choose models, stylists, and makeup artists.
- Oversee multiple photoshoots simultaneously.
- Ensure the photoshoot budget is met by managing daily shot counts.
- Develop and maintain style guides for freelance artists.
- Foster teamwork and creative problem-solving.
- Stay updated on market trends to enhance creative impact.
- Attend meetings to provide creative input and ensure clear communication.
- Handle additional tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications :
- Degree in fashion design, photography, marketing, merchandising, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Portfolio showcasing relevant work.
- 3+ years of experience in soft goods styling.
- Strong knowledge of apparel styling, especially for plus-size bodies.
- Proficiency in Capture One, Photoshop, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Keen eye for detail and strong visual composition skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced studio, manage sets, and solve problems creatively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to give and receive feedback.
- Ability to meet deadlines, handle change, and maintain composure under pressure.
- Strong accountability and problem-solving skills.
