Job Description

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide to management for strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
  • Implement and manage cost accounting systems to monitor and control manufacturing costs.
  • Analyze cost variances and recommend cost-saving measures.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and inventory valuation.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Partner with senior management to provide financial insights and support for strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • 2+ years of managerial experience
  • Manufacturing industry or relevant industry
  • Cost experience nice to have
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Understanding and application of accounting principles / practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
  • Strong business partnering and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems
