Summary of Position :

To provide face-to-face and online didactic instruction, laboratory instruction, and evaluate student clinical progress to assure clinical education effectiveness through regularly scheduled visits to clinical practice settings for students in the Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology.

This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis.

This posting is being used for face to face and / or online instruction. However, the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment.

The anticipated start date of this position is January 2024 at the earliest and August 2024 at the latest.

Required Education :

Graduate from an accredited program in Nuclear Medicine Technology; bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a health-related field, or master's degree in health-related field or degree in progress.

Required Work Experience :

Three years of clinical experience in direct patient care.

Required Licenses and Certifications :

Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Additional Education / Experiences to be Considered :

Five or more years of clinical experience in direct patient care. Previous teaching experience.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities :

Teach, monitor, and instruct students in a patient setting.

Evaluate student's work, advise faculty of students' laboratory / clinic performance.

Faculty members also have professional responsibilities which may include but are not limited to : keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance (ex.

reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time). Faculty may be required to teach off-campus or in an on-line environment.

Administer and evaluate process evaluations and examinations.

Motivated team player.

Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Any other duties assigned the position classification area.
