Substitute Teacher
Certified Substitutes are paid $135.00 per full day and $67.50 per half day. Please see the WCA website for details on the committed substitute program for additional opportunities.
Summary
Responsible for following substitute plans and instructing students in appropriate subject area, in coordination with current curriculum and within the framework of state content standards.

Description of Job Tasks
- Demonstrate a commitment to :

- Uphold a classroom environment which maximizes instructional time, supervise the safety and well-being of students in the classroom and all educational settings.
- Administer appropriate discipline when necessary.
- Implement the substitute teaching plans prepared by the regular classroom teacher.
- Instruct students in large, small, and one-on-one settings.
- Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Related Work Experience
- High School Diploma or Bachelor's degree
- Experience instructing students in a classroom setting preferred
Licenses, Registrations or Certifications
- Criminal background check required for hire
- Valid Colorado substitute license
