These responsibilities include assisting with requirements gathering, coding, testing, and installing applications. This position will work with project management to ensure that project deadlines are met and that the work meets user requirements, while helping to build out the next generation of the Korn Ferry Pay and Total Reward platform. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for high quality, bug-free development as per the coding standards in close collaboration and interaction with other members of the development / QA team.
- Developing and maintaining server-side applications and APIs, ensuring seamless integration with front-end components and delivering a smooth user experience
- Collaborating with product managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements, propose technical solutions and estimate project timelines.
- Identifying and resolving performance and security issues, ensuring the web applications adhere to best practices and industry standards.
- Participate in daily project scrum meetings and provide daily personal status reports.
- Create user / technical documentation for completed solutions.
- Work with support team to resolve production support issues.
- Mentor the junior developers and help build knowledge base.
- Participate in peer reviews.
- Consult with QA staff on strategies for testing specific work items.
- Other duties as deemed necessary by management.
- Contribute to the success of the organization by helping others accomplish job results; learning new skills needed by the team;
finding new ways to help the team. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of software development and testing experience using NodeJS, Java, Python
- Experience working in building and consuming RESTful APIs, API security
- Experience working with ReactJS / Angular
- Experience with SQL (Postgres, MSSQL), ORM, NoSQL (MongoDB)
- Experience in Product Development
- Excellent communication skills and have a proactive problem-solving attitude.
- Understanding of SDLC
- Capable of system tuning, code optimization and bug solving
- Experience with cloud platform ( e.g. AWS, Azure) and containerization(e.g. Docker)
- Familiar with version control ( e.g. Git) principles and systems
- Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
- Working experience in agile team is preferred. EDUCATION
