Join Our Payer Strategy & Contracting (PSC) Division
Our PSC Division guides clients through payer strategy development, reimbursement analysis and design, contract negotiations, and other strategic and operational issues affecting commercial and government revenue streams.
As part of our team, you'll help our clients optimize their managed care portfolios and develop successful value-based reimbursement strategies and contracts.
Our PSC engagements include work with inpatient, outpatient, professional, behavioral health, post-acute, and payers. We assist clients primarily in the three areas :
Contracting and Reimbursement
Our Contracting and Reimbursement practice is an industry leader on healthcare payment reform and accountable care strategies for large, complex healthcare organizations, including major health systems and provider-owned health plans. We help our clients :
- Develop innovative payment approaches.
- Negotiate contracts.
- Devise reimbursement strategies.
- Improve revenues.
Value- and Risk-Based Payment Programs
We offer our clients comprehensive value- and risk-based payment program development services, including planning, implementing, and optimizing value-enhancing care models. Common projects include :
- Value-based readiness assessments and payment design.
- Care model and reimbursement strategy.
- Medicare Shared Savings Program, ACO Reach, or commercial accountable care organization development.
- Clinically integrated or regional affiliate network development.
- Assistance with Medicaid managed care program participation.
- Patient-centered medical home transformation.
- Population health service organization establishment.
- Support for participation in grant-funded or governmental programs.
Payer Services
Our Payer Services practice advises traditional and provider-owned insurance companies in areas such as :

Your Opportunity with ECG : Senior Reimbursement Modeling Analyst
As a senior reimbursement modeling analyst at ECG, you'll be an important part of our consulting team. Not only will you partner with some of the industry's best to reach your highest goals, but you will also make a real difference in people's lives and grow personally and professionally while doing so.

Your Responsibilities May Include :
- Analyzing and modeling hospital and / or physician agreements with healthcare payers, including detailed financial impact assessments
- Performing sophisticated contract modeling analysis applied to large healthcare service utilization data sets using advanced statistical and analytical techniques.
- Assessing historical reimbursement for hospital and / or physician organizations and developing reimbursement projections based on proposed contract terms.
- Supporting strategic decision making by identifying key findings and implications from analyses.
- Conducting research and gathering data from national surveys, proprietary research, client interviews, industries, markets, etc.
- Analyzing and validating client data.
- Assisting with report preparation documenting analyses.
- Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with team members and client personnel.
- Utilizing tools such as Excel, SQL, and Python.
Our Expectations of You
- Strong knowledge and passion for the healthcare industry
- A bachelor's degree in business, finance, healthcare, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of healthcare payer contract modeling experience is required
- Experience in healthcare consulting strongly preferred; will also consider progressive responsibility in a healthcare environment
- Knowledge of healthcare provider and facility reimbursement methodologies
- Track record in operations or performance improvement, including healthcare administration and management
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Demonstrated diagnostic, analytical, and quantitative skills
- Track record of strong client and / or service
- Demonstrated career progression with increasing responsibilities
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Python skills
- Strong written and verbal presentation skills
- Ability and willingness to travel, as required
Job Locations
Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Minneapolis, Seattle, San Diego, St. Louis or Washington DC. Atlanta, Boston, and Washington, DC preferred.
This position has in-office responsibilities. Must be able to work a hybrid schedule with days in the office and days remote.

The estimated base salary range for this job is $90,000 to $103,000 annually. It represents a good faith estimate of the range that ECG reasonably expects to pay at the time of the job posting.
The actual salary paid will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to years of experience, special skills, and market changes.
This job is eligible to participate in ECG's annual incentive compensation program, which reflects ECG's pay-for-performance philosophy.
The job is also eligible to participate in ECG's benefit plans, which includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, unlimited PTO, and other wellness programs.
