As a Construction Project Accountant at Atwell you will be expected to develop and demonstrate proficiency with the essential functions of the job found below.

Responsibilities :

• Set up and maintain projects including budgets, contract commitments, change orders, and direct costs.
• Purchase Order Creation in both Deltek Vision and Procore
• Process client invoices / AIA and payments in both Deltek Vision and Procore
• Receive and process supplier invoices and waivers in both Deltek Vision and Procore
• Process monthly AIA subcontractor payment applications, waivers, review for accuracy, and prepare for PM review Deltek Vision and Procore
• Process Certified Payroll reporting. Obtain reporting from subcontractors, confirm compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act and report results to management and our clients.
• Track vendor compliance, including contract documents, insurance, and tax documents.
• Perform project audits to find and correct system issues in both Deltek Vision and Procore
• Track subcontract amounts and change order values in both Deltek Vision and Procore
• Work with the Project Management Team on General accounting Support and project close-out (Weekly Meetings)
• Prepare and process journal and job cost entries.
• Tracking of Preliminary Notices & collection / review of corresponding lien waivers
• Collect closeout documentation from vendors & subcontractors.
• Expense report processing and complete reconciliations
• Aid in preparation of Owner Agreements as it relates to accounting.
• Assist in Client Prequal Docs
• Ordering COI’s Bonds and or Builders Risk Insurance Policies
• Help PMs to maintain general documents in both Sage and Procore
• Other duties as required to support the successful completion of our projects.

Qualifications and Skills :

• 3 Years Construction Industry experience with job costing
• Understanding of Construction accounting and control processes
• Certified Payroll experience desired
• Deltek Vision software experience highly desired
• Procore Project Management Software highly desired
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a demanding environment.
• Diligence and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in project management software such as Vision and Procore is desired but not required.
• Time management and team building skills.
