Job Function : The Process Engineer is responsible for administering all process engineering functions at the Greensboro, NC plant.
In addition to working directly with Operations, this person will work daily with the Technical team on other functions as required.
This person must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to multi task in a high pressure work environment.
This position will report to the Technical Manager
Responsibilities include :
- Provide technical assistance in process improvements and provide process engineering studies as required to support plant productivity, quality, and EHS initiatives.
- Provide leadership and participation on plant teams to improve productivity, quality, and reduce cost.
- Support all site team activities to achieve the common goal through active participation.
- Coordinate activities associated with all plant permits such as line break, management of change, hot work, confined space, hazardous energy control and other safety associated programs.
- Participate in and help coordinate insurance, regulatory, and EHS audits. Implement and follow up on corrective action items.
- Adhere to all aspects of Responsible Care®.
- Willing & capable to lead and / or participate on site teams, as well as corporate teams.

- Safety, compliance, and the overall Responsible Care process is supported by the Plant Process Engineer through demonstrating safety leadership;

Education & Training : Minimum Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering. 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Other closely related degrees may be considered with appropriate experience.
Quality : The Process Engineer contributes to the quality efforts by making sure all plant processes are conducted in a safe and efficient manner, and by developing and maintaining plant procedures as required to ensure all quality parameters are met.
Training : Routinely participate in plant safety meetings. Take all training associated with safety training programs to include compliance kits and LMS.
Complete all other training as required by Manager.
Other : Take on additional tasks as assigned by the Plant Manager or Technical Manager. Travel up to 5% and oversight for additional facilities are part of this job function.
