General Summary
The position is responsible for supporting the Company in the collection of data, records, files, etc. for workers compensation, asset loss and general liability related claims for an assigned location.
Additionally, this position will support in the clerical aspects of the local safety department.
Essential Job Accountabilities
Promote compliance with the company safety program and local accident prevention efforts by ensuring that all claims are reported and documented in a timely manner.
This includes the maintenance of records, data, forms and documents related to the investigation, inspection and oversight of our employees and their work areas.
Ensure that all claims have been initiated, processed and maintained with the company's insurance carrier and corporate insurance department.
This includes the maintenance of safety related databases and photographic archives for the sake of historical and financial accuracy.
- Assist in the maintenance of data, records and files of all third party, asset loss, and worker's compensation claims to make certain that Company interests are preserved.
- Assist in the maintenance of confidential employee records with respect to drug and alcohol testing results, employee training / certification records, medical information and other documents as they relate to the health and safety of employees.
- To assist in the administration of the Company Drug & Alcohol Policy, Safety Incentive Program, Accident Prevention Program and other safety and insurance related policies and or programs.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of safety related topics such as tailgate safety meetings, supervisor safety meeting agendas, newsletters, hazard alerts and fatagrams.
- Assist in maintaining third party client required prequalification websites with employee required training records and documentation.
- Develop and maintain relationships, agreements and contracts with clinics, medical / testing facilities, insurance carriers and peers within the company safety and insurance departments.
Education & Work Experience
- Minimum high school graduate or GED equivalent required
- 1-2 years of general knowledge in workers compensation laws
- 1-2 years in general knowledge on client require prequalification sites (ISNetworld, Avetta, etc.)
- 2 years' experience in the construction related safety / insurance environment preferred.

- Polite and courteous telephone skills
- General filing, database maintenance
- Understanding Insurance / Medical and Litigation related terms
- Attention to detail with an ability to prioritize.
- Motivated self-starter
- Work well with others.
- Basic Microsoft excel and word computer skills essential.
- General organizational skills
- Demonstrate excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work in high production environment and respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines.

Base Salary Range :
$39,063.00 - $58,594.00
Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
