Additionally, they will contribute to the functioning of daily development activities and facilitate coordination both internally and externally among programs and donors.

Responsibilities of the Program Assistant :

  • Establish standardized development procedures for organizational, corporate, individual, and public sector contributions within the institution
  • Collaborate with the COO to oversee all stages of development, from identifying potential donors to fostering relationships and ensuring their continued support
  • Optimize donor database by organizing donor records, funding opportunities, donor interactions, grant commitments, and reporting requirements across various programs
  • Facilitate and assist in proposal development for programs, ensuring adherence to proposal guidelines, timely submission, and comprehensive post-project reporting to donors
  • Serve as a liaison between program directors and business development stakeholders
  • Aid teams in crafting grant proposals and refining project concepts
  • Conduct regular internal development meetings to prioritize initiatives, review ongoing projects, and plan future proposals and donor engagements

Requirements of the Program Assistant :

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Previous experience in grant writing is preferred but not required
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Be familiar with the functions of public policy
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Adhere to deadlines and efficiently handle multiple projects concurrently
  • Be flexible, creative, solution-oriented, and positive in approaching challenges and problems
