Overview
As a Operations Center Specialist, you'll be the key point of contact for monitoring and managing situations that could impact our employees, assets, and drivers.
We're looking for a confident, detail-oriented individual who is passionate about technology and current events, and can handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Respond to Threat Calls : Answer calls about credible threats from field employees, assess situations, and involve necessary parties.
- Monitor Events : Use social media listening tools and other resources to track and analyze events that may affect the company or its employees (, violence, natural disasters).
- Communicate Incidents : Clearly inform impacted teams about market incidents and advise on necessary actions.
- Travel Monitoring : Keep an eye on incidents affecting employees traveling for work and communicate broadly when needed.
- Evaluate Proximity Incidents : Use social listening tools to assess incidents near field locations and notify relevant teams.
- Document Alerts : Accurately document incident alerts in real-time.
- Professional Response : Respond quickly and professionally to internal feedback and inquiries.
- Privacy Awareness : Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Timeliness : Arrive on time to ensure no incidents are missed.
- On-Call Availability : Be prepared to handle situations outside standard hours and provide assistance as needed.
Requirements
- Experience : At least year as a business data specialist or in a similar role.
- Safety Skills : Experience in safety or de-escalation is a plus.
- Sensitive Information : Comfortable working with sensitive data.
- Decision-Making : Ability to make independent decisions within a procedural framework.
- Multi-Tasking : Capable of juggling multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
- Team Player : Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment while also working independently.
- Organizational Skills : Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Motivation to Learn : Self-sufficient and eager to learn new technologies.
- Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Tech Savvy : Familiarity with technology solutions (hardware and software) and excellent internet research skills.
- Current Events Knowledge : Interest in monitoring ongoing current events.
Operations : Experience supporting operations that run around the clock.
Bonus Points
- Previous experience in emergency / incident management or business continuity.
