Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Control Industrial Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will test and evaluate component parts to ensure customer standards are met and assist in validating process test capabilities and designs in accordance with Pyromation practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop physical and functional test methods to ensure specifications are met
- Write and / or review design verification and validation test plans and reports
- Assist in part specification and definition of part key characteristics
- Record and analyze results to decide whether to approve or reject products
- Compare differences between parts for potential manufacturing side effects
- Conduct "where used" analyses on component parts
- Understand how a part is used in the process
- Review part specifications against Pyromation definitions
- Define or research secondary operations for original components (e.g., make parts)
- Develop process validation requirements and equipment qualifications
- Conduct and / or assist testing outlined in test plans, methods, and DOE
- Conduct and / or assist Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
- Conduct and / or assist Gauge R&R (GR&R)
- Perform process improvement, control and monitoring on manufacturing processes
- Develop and implement clear procedures
- All other related duties as required
Knowledge and Skills
Understanding of enterprise-wide processes and their interrelationshipsWorking technical knowledge of Pyromation products and applicationsProficient with PC software (email, word processing, spreadsheets), Minitab, and Epicor (ERP)Strong technical written communication and cross-functional interpersonal skillsStrong analytical skills and ability to resolve technical issuesUnderstanding of industry regulationsProficient in reading blueprints and statistical informationAbility to use dimensional measuring equipmentAbility to perform mechanical tasksBasic understanding of statistics and prototypingAbility to create, review and coordinate test protocols and reportsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsAbility to work in fast-paced environments, in teams or independentlySelf-motivated with planning, prioritizing and organizational skillsAction oriented with problem solving and attention to detailCapable in application of lean toolsPositive, flexible and adaptive attitude; willingness to continually develop skillsEducation and Experience
