What you will be doing

This role has a big impact on client engagement, the development of the go‑to‑market strategy for FINS, and the strategy for how Salesforce can win in the market in the short and long term. You will work broadly across Distribution, Marketing, Programs, Enablement, Solutions, and Product to grow ACV, build strong long‑term partnerships with key clients, deepen understanding of current and future industry dynamics, and coordinate delivery of the GTM strategy to the market. You will also design and develop industry vertical strategy internally, and externally partner with customers to deliver how Salesforce solutions solve problems and deliver outcomes.

  • Industry Expertise : Deep understanding of the business processes and economics of the industries served in FINS.
  • Sales Acumen : Ability to contribute to the ACV engine by collaborating on big bets, navigating complex deals, winning new logos, and simplifying difficult solutions.
  • Executive Presence : Winning the trust of executives for short‑term sales wins and long‑term partnerships.
  • Analytical Muscle : Identify industry needs, anticipate externalities, and inform long‑term sales potential.
  • Execution Excellence : Program management and communication skills to organize teams, influence, and deliver outcomes cross‑functionally.
  • Curious Mind : Break down complex problems, ask questions, learn quickly, adapt, and always find a great way to move forward.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement : Work directly with key clients across banking and wealth industries, leveraging industry understanding, strategic clarity, and executive presence.
  • Executive Relationships : Build trust with executives, creating lasting connections across accounts.
  • Market Intelligence : Analyze internal and external data to generate insights on trends, performance, risks, and opportunities, informing Salesforce strategy and thought leadership.
  • Go‑to‑Market Strategy and Planning : Translate industry trends into account and client decision‑making strategies and business process implications.
  • Industry Solution Enablement : Influence solution creation to educate and enable sales, presales, and customer success teams.
  • Account Collaboration : Engage partners on targeted accounts and regional engagement strategies aligned with overall strategies.
  • Voice of Salesforce to the Industry : Present and lead executive roundtables and industry event presentations.
  • Experience / Skills Required

  • Minimum 15 years of combined experience in Sales, Leadership, Product Marketing, Sales Enablement, Operations, or comparable functions in Fortune 500 enterprise software, professional services, or financial services.
  • Deep Wealth / Finance / Banking expertise with sub‑verticals.
  • Experience deploying or using Salesforce with a vision for industry transformation.
  • Track record of building and running robust teams.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills at executive level.
  • Strong customer orientation and results‑driven leadership.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce products.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience / Skills Desired

  • 10+ years of banking or wealth experience.
  • 10 years of experience with high‑tech companies or system integrators supporting these industries.
  • Undergraduate degree; advanced degree preferred.
  • Hands‑on leader with a “get it done” style and industry association participation.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Preferred Skills

    Salary Range

    For New York‑based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $250,950 to $335,720. For Maryland based roles, the base salary hiring range is $228,130 to $305,130. For California‑based roles, the base salary hiring range is $250,950 to $335,720. For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range is $228,130 to $335,720. For Massachusetts based roles, the base salary hiring range is $228,130 to $335,720.
