Key Responsibilities
Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to determine scope and requirementsPrepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for hardscape and amenity installationsSolicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricingDevelop complete and competitive budgets in alignment with company goalsCollaborate with sales teams to clarify scope and pricing strategiesMaintain up-to-date knowledge of materials, labor costs, and industry standardsTrack and analyze historical data for continuous improvement in estimating accuracyAssist in value engineering and cost-saving recommendations for clients and stakeholdersQualifications
3+ years of estimating experience in hardscape, landscape construction, or related fieldsStrong knowledge of hardscape materials (pavers, stone, concrete, retaining walls, etc.) and site amenities (benches, shade structures, playgrounds, etc.)Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsProficiency in Sage Estimating and On Screen TakeoffExcellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skillsStrong organizational skills with attention to detailEffective communication and negotiation abilitiesPerks and Pluses
