Warehouse Manager
Location : Frankfort, IL (On-Site)
Salary : $65,000 – $75,000 (based on experience)
Facility Size : 15,000 sq ft
Employment Type : Full-Time | 7am -3pm
About the Role
Our client is seeking a hands-on and detail-driven Warehouse Manager to join a well-established distribution and packaging company known for its commitment to operational excellence and efficiency. You will oversee daily operations in thier 15,000 sq ft warehouse facility , as they consolidate shipping and receiving into a single location. This is a unique opportunity to build structure from the ground up , manage a growing team, and take ownership of tools, layout, and processes that drive efficiency.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in inventory control (NetSuite Inventory Management preferred).
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all daily operations : receiving, inventory tracking, and order fulfillment
Maintain and organize inventory (primarily dry goods ; 99% palletized, non-perishables)
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations , company safety policies, and general warehouse standards
Maintain documentation for inspections, safety training, and equipment usage
Develop and manage inventory systems (Excel or inventory management software)
Track inbound shipments from vendors and ensure accurate documentation
Lead a team of ~5
Redesign and maintain warehouse layout for optimal flow in a 15,000 sq ft space
Assist in hiring and training new warehouse staff
Conduct routine checks to ensure compliance with labeling, storage, and sanitation regulations
Coordinate with leadership on operational KPIs, stock levels, and loss prevention
Work with leadership to improve delivery timelines, stock accuracy, and space utilization
Handle problem-solving related to logistics, scheduling, or inventory issues
Qualifications
3+ years experience in warehouse or logistics leadership
Expertise in NetSuite Inventory Management preferred experience implementing inventory software
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Forklift experience a plus (certification preferred)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; must be comfortable in an active, physical role
Comfortable working autonomously and proactively managing systems and people
