THE WORK :
You'll prepare highly complex cost estimates and analyses for capital and professional services projects at concept, schematic, design development, and final design phases.You'll compile and analyze data on all factors that influence costs, such as material, labor, equipment, profit, and broader economic influences like tariffs or other cost-affecting factors.You'll evaluate cost estimate and analysis deliverables prepared by consultants for cost-containment, accuracy, uniformity, and completeness.You'll conduct construction / project site visits, gather relevant information, and determine what data to use in developing project estimates.You'll perform technical quality reviews of quotes, bids, change orders, value engineering reports, and claims for accuracy and completeness of stated costs.You'll acquire and evaluate pricing documents and historical and vendor cost data to develop cost estimates and make pricing recommendations.You'll accurately forecast costs for future projects and anticipated changes to existing ones.You'll prepare technical evaluations, cost estimating draft reports, memoranda, and letters, and present recommendations to management.You'll lead project-specific estimating teams that are internal to Client Estimating.You'll oversee, train, mentor, and guide assigned staff.You'll communicate and implement safety rules, policies, and procedures in support of the agency’s safety vision and goals, maintaining accountability for the safety performance of all assigned employees.You'll contribute to ensuring that the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies and programs of the Client are carried out.You'll perform other related job duties as required.Flexible : The work location for this role will include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office or center.With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or other related fieldSix (6) years of relevant experience or three years of relevant supervisory-level experience in cost estimating or contract pricing for major capital projects; some positions in this class may require specialized experience in area of assignmentA valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functionsBONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE :
Exposure to hazardous conditions during visits to construction sitesExperience performing construction and engineering cost estimating, contract pricing, and take-off for transit, bus systems and facilitiesExperience analyzing and preparing reliable, accurate, and complete cost estimates for complex capital projectsExperience utilizing construction estimating software and cost databasesCertified Cost Estimator preferredCompensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Ohio or Washington as set forth below.
