Responsibilities
- Team Leadership : Lead and manage a small team (5) of independent engineers and designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and set clear goals and expectations.
- Project Management : Oversee the design and development of standard runways and cranes, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, production, and installation, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Technical Expertise : Utilize advanced engineering principles and industry best practices to design innovative and efficient runway and crane solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analyses to support project decisions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Continuous Improvement : Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of design processes.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in crane and runway design.
- Implement lessons learned from previous projects to optimize future designs.
- Use key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project progress and drive efficiencies.
- Lead root cause analysis for design deviations, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Frontline Engagement : Work closely with the frontline to understand their specific needs and requirements.
- Provide technical expertise and support during client meetings, presentations, and site visits.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality designs that meet or exceed expectations.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning with sales and project management teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related field) requiredMinimum of 3 years of experience in design engineering, with at least 1 year in a leadership or managerial role.Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects from concept to completion.Strong knowledge of structural design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and project management tools.Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., CMAA, ASME, ISO) and safety regulations.Lean Six Sigma beneficial.Why Join Us
