Job Description

As a Security Professional - Armed Government Patrol Specialist in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This armed and driving post involves conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. You will play a key role in fostering a secure environment while upholding our values of agility, reliability, innovation, and teamwork. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns or incidents to the appropriate authorities or Allied Universal management.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions or unauthorized access within government facilities.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures specific to armed patrol posts in a government setting.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent program.
  • Must possess an armed guard card or license.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must possess a corrections officer license.
  • Must provide a DD214 with honorable discharge, or have an associate degree or at least 60 college credits, or possess a police academy certificate or corrections academy certificate.
  • Must possess a law enforcement officer license.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
