The Role
The Executive Chef will be the culinary ambassador and creative force behind the new SoHo location — responsible for bringing the Milan brand’s identity to life while tailoring it to the vibrant, discerning New York audience.
You’ll oversee all aspects of the kitchen, from menu development and sourcing to team building and execution. Working closely with ownership and the group’s Milan-based culinary directors, you’ll balance heritage and innovation , consistency and creativity , and discipline and heart .
Key Responsibilities
Lead all culinary operations and kitchen management for the new SoHo flagship.
Develop, test, and refine a menu that reflects authentic Italian flavors with a modern, cosmopolitan NYC twist .
Build and mentor a world-class kitchen team, fostering culture, collaboration, and excellence.
Establish operational systems and standards in line with the group’s Milan flagship.
Oversee sourcing, vendor relations, and ingredient quality — with a commitment to seasonality and sustainability.
Partner with leadership to ensure seamless communication between FOH and BOH teams.
Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance.
Represent the brand with pride and passion — both in the kitchen and in the broader NYC hospitality community.
Who You Are
5–7+ years of leadership experience as an Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine in acclaimed Italian or Mediterranean restaurants (NYC or international).
Deep knowledge of classic Italian regional cuisine , with a flair for modern presentation and creativity.
Proven experience opening or launching new restaurant concepts.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Hands-on, humble, and genuinely passionate about hospitality.
Fluent in both the craft and culture of Italian dining — from handmade pastas and sauces to elegant plating and warm guest connection.
Italian language proficiency is a plus, but not required.
