As an Engineering Manager for Database Integrations, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for designing, building, and scaling connectors between enterprise data systems and cloud-based analytics platforms. This role offers the opportunity to combine deep technical expertise, strategic leadership, and a customer-focused mindset to deliver reliable, high-impact solutions. You will oversee end-to-end integration pipelines, mentor engineers, and influence product and technical decisions. Accountabilities
- Lead the Database Integrations team, responsible for building and maintaining connectors for databases and data warehouses (e.g., Postgres, MongoDB, BigQuery, Snowflake).
- Recruit, coach, and develop engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, speed, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee architecture, code quality, and system design; contribute hands-on to complex technical challenges.
- Ensure operational excellence, including reliability, SLOs, on-call quality, and cost-efficiency in multi-cloud environments.
- Transform product vision into a prioritized roadmap and ship features rapidly with tight feedback loops.
- Engage with customers, gather feedback, and translate it into actionable improvements.
- Represent the team externally via blogs, talks, and conferences to showcase technical achievements.
- Systematize support, reduce toil, and implement self-serve or auto-healing capabilities.
Requirements
3+ years managing software engineering teams, including distributed global teams.Proven experience hiring, mentoring, and developing technical talent.10+ years in software engineering, preferably with distributed or data-intensive systems.Hands-on coding experience and ability to guide teams in design and architecture decisions.Expertise in database replication, change data capture (CDC), and data pipeline reliability.Strong programming skills in Go or comparable systems languages.Experience with Kubernetes in production and multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).Customer-centric approach with ability to turn feedback into product wins.Excellent communication skills, capable of aligning stakeholders and representing the team externally.Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments while delivering high-impact results.Benefits
