The Program Instructor is responsible for program instruction, program documentation, participant safety, maintaining skills and working at programming for the Richard A. Carlucci Recreation and Aquatic Center indoor and / or outdoor operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities : This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications : To perform this job successfully, an individual must have basic understanding of swimming, aquatic programming and have experience teaching, coaching, or instructing children, young adults and or adults. In addition to, must be able to obtain : National Safety Council first aid and C.P.R. certification
OR
Jeff Ellis and Associates, National Pool and Waterpark Lifeguard License offered by the Town of Plainfield at the employee's initial expense.

Education and / or Experience : Lifeguard and / or First Aid and CPR experience is preferred if teaching aquatics programming. Recreation or aquatic program certification in teaching, coaching, or instructing is also preferred.

While the RAC is open from 5 : 30 a.m. to 10 : 00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 12 : 00 p.m. to 9 : 00 p.m. on Sunday, this position may require work beyond these hours and on holidays.
