Liberty Exposition Services provides services for Show Management and Exhibitors at Conventions, Tradeshows and Special Events.
The Account Executive / Sales position is responsible for soliciting, selling, maintaining and closing convention, tradeshow and special event related business. This includes coordinating the process from agreement to final billing, the overall ownership and accountability for the financial wholeness, and exceeding customer satisfaction / expectation of the event.
Position Responsibilities and Duties
- Achieve established sales goals – revenues and gross margin; Implement the sales process – prospecting and lead development, conducting customer needs assessment; Customer presentation- Producing creative customized proposal components, including but not limited to graphic design, venue site inspections, warehouse site inspections, branding opportunities… Develop a forecast complete show / event budget.
- Implement sales activities – maintain prospects and accounts through sales database booking system; prospecting and responding to sales leads for potential business; establishing, managing and maintaining customer relationships, developing / expanding sales opportunities with existing accounts to gain greater business opportunity and renew / book established repeat business.
Develop multi-show management relationships; identify key decision makers; understand / identify potential business base; establish a business relationship; develop and close business.
Coordinate with Production Team to ensure that all segments of the event are on time and on during the production process to ensure financial goals are achieved.Participate in applicable local and state industry meetings, events and functions.Participate in designated sales and other internal and external company and industry meetings. Be able to discuss status of account prospect, tentative and definite business.Integrate and guide the production manager in the production management process once a job is at a point of closing to transfer information for logistical implementation.Work with production team to ensure proper staffing and production of events. Participate in appropriate pre-production, production and post production meetings.Review in-house and event site work orders to ensure the event is accurately produced. Participate at event / show installation and dismantle when required.
Other as required.Required Skills and Experience
Three (3) years related sales experience.Related experience of convention, tradeshow, special event, hospitality industry a plus.Excellent customer service skills.Candidate will possess the ability to write professional letters, marketing literature and sales proposals.Knowledge and skill set of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Sheets, and other administrative office equipment.Ability to perform in a high pressured, fast paced environment.Supervise events on site as required.Obtain future schedule of client and solicit appropriate future business as assigned.Attention to detail and the ability to multi task effectively and efficiently.Strong professional verbal, written and electronic communication skills.Strong problem-solving skills and strategies.Ability to organize, prioritize, and monitor job cost.Entertain clients and facilitate staff as necessary.Attend local and state industry meetings and functions as directed.Confirm jobs and follow-up necessary information to prepare floor plan requirements.Must be able to cold call and solicit new business.Other position requirements
Ability to pull, push and lift up to twenty five (25) pounds of materials and equipment.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time (show / event site venues)Class E Driver's License (Preferred but no Required)Assist in other duties as assignedWork Schedule and Benefits
Business hours are Monday through Friday 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm. Business hours extend into the evenings and weekends depending on show schedules.
