Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
We are seeking an experienced Infusion Pharmacist for a 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity in the Chandler / Phoenix area. This role is full-time, Monday through Friday, working 8-hour shifts within the hours of 8 : 00 AM 7 : 30 PM, with rotating on-call weekends. The pharmacy recently expanded into a brand-new facility and is continuing to grow rapidly.
Position Summary :
The Infusion Pharmacist will provide pharmaceutical care by preparing and dispensing sterile pounds, monitoring patient therapies, and collaborating with providers to ensure optimal outes. This role will focus on acute conditions, primarily preparing IVs / hydration, TPNs, and antibiotics. The pharmacist will also oversee pharmacy operations and provide guidance to technical staff.
Key Responsibilities :
Prepare and verify sterile pounded medications, including TPNs, antibiotics, and IV hydration.
Dispense and process prescriptions while ensuring accuracy and pliance with all regulations.
Collaborate with providers to optimize drug therapy and deliver evidence-based care.
Monitor drug therapies, screen orders for inpatibilities or contraindications, and provide pharmacokinetic dosing support.
Educate patients, providers, and staff on medication use and therapy plans.
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support efficient day-to-day operations.
Maintain knowledge of new therapies, regulations, and infusion best practices.
Ensure pliance with all legal, safety, and accreditation requirements.
Qualifications :
Active Arizona Pharmacist license in good standing.
Minimum 12 years of infusion pharmacy experience required (no exceptions).
Strong clinical knowledge, sterile pounding experience, and munication skills.
Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment and take ownership of responsibilities.
Candidates must successfully plete an infusion petency test during the on-site interview.
