Overview
Budget Coordinator (Administrative Support Coordinator II) at San Diego State University. This role supports the financial and operational functions of the School of Exercise and Nutritional Sciences (ENS), coordinating budgets, processing transactions, and managing administrative workflows. The Budget Coordinator reports to the School Director and works closely with the College of Health and Human Services Dean's Office to track and reconcile SDSU and Foundation funds, handle procurement and travel processes, and support faculty recruitment and onboarding, including startup fund management and equipment coordination.

Education And Experience
Entry to this classification requires a fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices, as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. Incumbents are expected to have thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation and be able to clearly communicate orally and in writing. Some positions may require knowledge of business mathematics beyond basic arithmetic. The ability to use and quickly learn new office support technology systems and software packages is also a prerequisite. These qualifications would normally be obtained through a high school program, technical / vocational program, or their equivalents combined with several years of related office work experience.

Compensation And Benefits
Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $4,058 per month. Salary placement is determined by education, experience, and qualifications, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources. SDSU offers a rich benefits package. CSU Classification Salary Range : $4,058 - $6,653 per month.
