Our healthcare client is seeking a Solution Architect to design and implement scalable, secure, and innovative technology solutions that power the next generation of healthcare delivery. In this role, you will serve as a technical leader and trusted advisor, shaping system architectures that support Aetna’s mission to transform health care through data-driven insights, interoperability, and AI-powered automation.
- Key Responsibilities
- Architect and Design Solutions :
- Develop end-to-end solution architectures for enterprise systems, APIs, and AI-driven applications, ensuring alignment with Aetna’s technology standards and business objectives.
- Lead Technical Strategy :
- Translate complex business requirements into well-structured, scalable, and maintainable architectures that integrate seamlessly with Aetna’s digital ecosystem.
- API and Integration Expertise :
- Design and manage secure, high-performance APIs and microservices that enable interoperability between internal systems, external partners, and cloud platforms.
- AI and Data Enablement :
- Partner with data scientists and engineering teams to integrate machine learning and AI capabilities into operational systems, improving outcomes, automation, and personalization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and infrastructure teams to guide technical decisions, review implementations, and ensure architecture adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
- Hands-On Implementation :
- Provide practical, hands-on technical guidance and prototype complex architectural components when necessary—serving as both a designer and a doer.
- Governance and Best Practices :
- Define and enforce architectural standards, technology roadmaps, and reference architectures to promote reuse, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Required Qualifications
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience : 7+ years of experience in solution architecture, systems design, or enterprise integration roles.
- Proven hands-on experience designing and deploying modern architectures using cloud-native technologies (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Strong expertise in API design, RESTful and GraphQL services, and integration frameworks.
- Exposure to AI / ML technologies (e.g., integrating AI models into production environments, leveraging NLP, or predictive analytics in healthcare workflows).
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic architecture planning with practical implementation, showing examples of past work or projects that delivered measurable impact.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to present complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare or insurance industry experience with knowledge of HIPAA, FHIR, and healthcare data interoperability.
- Certification in architecture frameworks (TOGAF, AWS / Azure Certified Architect, etc.).
- Experience with CI / CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud infrastructure as code (Terraform, ARM, etc.).
