Director of Preconstruction Needed for Prestigious Design / Build Firm

This professional will create bid strategies and help shape scopes of work. He or she will manage bid selection, maintaining vital relationships with consultants and subcontractors. Schedule and budget maintenance also will fall within this person’s range of responsibilities. Throughout, he or she will look for value engineering opportunities. In addition to working closely with internal teams, this executive will provide effective presentations to clients on a regular basis.

Candidates should bring several years of relevant experience in the industry, including at-risk estimating experience. The job calls for familiarity with construction markets in multiple locations, as well as previous work in preconstruction for complex, large-scale projects. In addition to in-depth knowledge of construction practices and project coordination, this professional will be proficient with estimating database software. The new director of preconstruction / chief estimator will be an exceptional negotiator who also has a talent for interpersonal communication and problem solving.
