Mill Manager (Cabinetry Manufacturing)

Our client, a family-owned cabinetry manufacturer with more than 500 employees and a reputation for quality and culture, is seeking a Mill Superintendent to lead cabinet production operations at their Houston facility. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role overseeing daily manufacturing while shaping long-term success.

Overview

Lead and mentor a team of operators, leads, and supervisors to create a culture of pride, accountability, and continuous development; oversee daily cabinet production operations to meet and exceed standards for safety, quality, cost, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of operators, leads, and supervisors to create a culture of pride, accountability, and continuous development
• Oversee daily cabinet production operations to meet and exceed standards for safety, quality, cost, and efficiency
• Monitor production KPIs, labor planning, and cost metrics to drive operational performance
• Partner with leadership teams on strategic planning, process improvement, and P&L accountability
• Implement and improve manufacturing processes, quality assurance, and lean initiatives to increase throughput and reduce waste
• Collaborate cross-functionally with planning, engineering, HR, quality, and maintenance to align production with business goals
• Research and integrate new technologies, equipment, and best practices to keep operations ahead of the curve
