Our client, a family-owned cabinetry manufacturer with more than 500 employees and a reputation for quality and culture, is seeking a Mill Superintendent to lead cabinet production operations at their Houston facility. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role overseeing daily manufacturing while shaping long-term success.

Lead and mentor a team of operators, leads, and supervisors to create a culture of pride, accountability, and continuous development; oversee daily cabinet production operations to meet and exceed standards for safety, quality, cost, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of operators, leads, and supervisors to create a culture of pride, accountability, and continuous development
- Oversee daily cabinet production operations to meet and exceed standards for safety, quality, cost, and efficiency
- Monitor production KPIs, labor planning, and cost metrics to drive operational performance
- Partner with leadership teams on strategic planning, process improvement, and P&L accountability
- Implement and improve manufacturing processes, quality assurance, and lean initiatives to increase throughput and reduce waste
- Collaborate cross-functionally with planning, engineering, HR, quality, and maintenance to align production with business goals
- Research and integrate new technologies, equipment, and best practices to keep operations ahead of the curve
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in manufacturing, including at least 3 years in a superintendent or supervisory roleStrong knowledge of cabinetry, woodworking, or high-mix, high-volume manufacturing environmentsProven track record of leading teams, driving process improvements, and achieving financial accountabilityFamiliarity with finishing processes, spray equipment, and wood materials a plusProficiency in Microsoft Excel; ERP or production management software experience preferredStrong analytical and data-driven decision-making skillsBachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferredLocation
