Job Summary : Join a compassionate healthcare team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a clinical setting. This role involves supporting healthcare providers by managing patient care activities and ensuring smooth clinical operations tailored to the needs of the practice.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.
- Respond promptly to patient calls, triage effectively, and offer reassurance along with clear, accurate instructions.
- Facilitate efficient healthcare delivery during patient visits by preparing patients for examinations, obtaining vital signs, and documenting medical histories and chief complaints.
- Observe and communicate any abnormal patient symptoms to the physician, ensuring thorough documentation in medical records.
- Assist with testing and treatment procedures under physician supervision, including applying splints, dressings, and preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.
- Manage sample medications and logs, arrange necessary patient testing or admissions, and obtain appropriate referrals and consents for invasive procedures or immunizations.
- Distribute educational materials and support patient understanding of treatment plans and medication usage.
- Perform laboratory tests as prescribed and maintain laboratory logs.
- Ensure clinical areas, equipment, and supplies are well-stocked, organized, and sterile, maintaining cleanliness according to protocols.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned, adapting to evolving responsibilities.
Education and Experience Required :
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program is required.
Work Schedule :
Full-time, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, with a 40-hour workweek.
