Shotgun is building the operating system for live music. We empower event organizers, venues, promoters, festivals, and artists to grow their communities, monetize their creativity, and shape culture with tools that make ticketing effortless and distribution powerful.
From 2020 to 2024, Shotgun grew rapidly : GMV increased by 20x, revenue by 30x, and the company reached profitability. Born in the backstreets of Paris, today our software and our marketplace working in harmony - support 20,000+ clients of all sizes and engage 6 million+ users across the USA, Europe, and LATAM.

The Role
The roots of Shotgun in the USA are found in the underground warehouses of Bushwick. In 2021, Shotgun stood next to producers as NYC found its post pandemic identity. We quickly helped establish a new paradigm for venues, collectives, and promoters, and since then have successfully expanded to Miami, LA, Washington DC, Chicago, Houston, Seattle, Atlanta, and Denver. But NYC has been, and always will be, our true home.
For the first time in its history, Shotgun is seeking a dedicated City Manager, to further entrench Shotgun's connection to the local music scene where it all began. This position will be Shotgun's bridge to the underground community, where creativity is unrestricted, judgement is left at the door, and musical trends are incubated.
What You Will Do
Brand Growth :
- Oversee Shotgun's brand presence and continued growth in NYC, representing Shotgun in public and building long-term relationships
- Proactively attend events and network with existing and emerging venues, promoters, collectives, and artists
- Engage with and grow - the NYC Shotgun user base with creative digital and physical initiatives
- Design and execute a NYC-focused micro-influencer program (DJs, promoters, nightlife connectors, tastemakers)
Events :
Produce events on Shotgun's behalf both professional B2B events and grassroots experiences / activations for local tastemakers and ambassadorsWork with the US GM, Head of Sales, and Marketing to ensure strategic positioning and attendance of top NYC promoters, venues, and partnersDevelop content and comms with HQ Marketing to amplify impactPartners Relationships :
Regularly meet, in-person, with Shotgun's clients in NYCBecome a trusted expert in both Shotgun's product and broader event managementBuild and maintain a group of of ambassadors to exponentially leverage networkCultural Insight :
Share feedback from the ground to US leadership and product teams - being Shotgun's eyes and ears in NYCThe Job Is For You If
