Senior Pricing Analyst

The Senior Pricing Analyst is responsible for leading the development of competitive and accurate pricing for new business opportunities and updates to existing programs within a complex automotive manufacturing environment. This role works cross-functionally with sales, account management, engineering, operations, and finance teams to gather data, analyze cost structures, and prepare detailed quotes and commercial proposals. The Senior Pricing Analyst supports the sales team by coordinating key activities such as tooling and lump sum breakdowns, tracking award kickoffs, and maintaining reporting tools to ensure alignment with overall business objectives. This position plays a vital role in driving profitability, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring a smooth transition from quote to program launch.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive internal quote models utilizing customer RFQ data and inputs from the cost estimating team.
• Conduct detailed reviews of customer RFQ requirements to ensure complete and accurate quoting.
• Collaborate with cost estimating to support the preparation and validation of cost inputs for RFQs.
• Partner with account managers to prepare and refine customer cost breakdown documentation.
• Monitor and analyze historical cost data by comparing actual versus quoted costs; identify variances and implement corrective actions to improve quoting accuracy.
• Drive the continuous improvement of quote models and enhance RFQ and quoting processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
• Analyze and track quote data to recognize trends across customers, product groups, and manufacturing sites.
• Provide support to account managers during customer meetings and events as needed.
• Assist account managers by preparing reports and tracking tools that support departmental objectives and ensure key performance metrics are achieved.
