Partner, Power (Director Level)

At ERM we are shaping a sustainable future with the world's leading organizations. Through our Capital Project Delivery service line, we are partnering with some of the leading energy companies across the lifecycle of the traditional and renewable power generation and delivery assets. ERM supports every stage of the asset lifecycle, including identifying and assessing sites and routes, securing permits, and construction support for new renewable and conventional power generation, and new and upgrades to transmission grid infrastructure and related capital projects developments.

ERM has enormous growth opportunities across North America in Capital Project Delivery and are now looking for experienced and forward-thinking professionals to join our firm as client-facing Partners, and to become shareholders in a business with sustainability at its heart. We are looking for established leaders who combine strong consulting and business development skills with a solid technical foundation in working with high performing teams to deliver world class service to clients. The focus areas for this role will be to :

  • Foster, expand, and leverage a network of excellent client relationships with a focused set of energy sector companies consistent with our growth strategy and trajectory.
  • Develop new client relationships and expand existing relationships by delivering strategic consulting advice, excellent value, and quality service.
  • Drive innovation within the sector to stay ahead of client needs and to differentiate ERM in the market.
  • Lead and mentor teams that will support and assist with delivery of energy focused capital projects across North America and especially in the Midwest and Northeast regions.
  • Contribute to leadership and management of project execution activities in support of ERM clients' power projects, including overseeing consulting engagements in the areas of impact assessment, technical discipline-specific consulting, and / or permitting and compliance.
  • Meet business health & safety performance standards, financial targets, overall project budgets and schedules, client satisfaction / expectations, and internal risk management and contractual requirements.

Qualifications :

  • BA / BS / MS in environmental science, engineering, or related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in either a consulting environment or working substantially with the Power / Renewables Sector, including substantial experience with delivery of projects associated with renewable generation, transmission, and distribution markets in the upper Midwest and Northeast of North America preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of the power industry and the companies operating in this market, including existing relationships that can be leveraged into new business.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the power regulatory environment, key regulatory agencies, and current and emerging issues.
  • Business acumen to understand business risks and challenges, and to recognize opportunities to provide enterprise-wide solutions for clients.
  • Track record of building, growing, and managing a high-performance team, serving as a leader and mentor to consultants.
  • Demonstrable track record in delivering multi-million-dollar sales / programs.
