Description
Teledyne FLIR is seeking an experienced Digital Signal Processing engineer. You will be a key member of our Digital Team, working on implementing critical functionality for our suite of video signal processing, perception and tracking products.
We use the latest generation of embedded SoC’s with built in AI acceleration to offer solutions to some of the most challenging problems in industrial and defense sensing.
As a principal level team member, we expect you to have deep knowledge of how to effectively implement complex algorithms on a combination of CPU, GPU and DSP.

Skills / experience
- A technical degree (CS preferred) or equivalent experience
- Embedded SW development (10+ years) for ARM based systems (required)
- Languages - C++ required (C, Python knowledge recommended)
- OS - Linux required (LE / SE distributions specifically preferred)
- GPU - (OpenCL and or CUDA required)
- Compute libraries OpenCV required
- DSP experience strongly preferred (ideally Hexagon)
- Heterogenous compute architecture experience (ex. CPU + FPGA or CPU + GPU) (required)
- Multi core SoC experience (ex. OpenMP) required Qualcomm and NVIDIA strongly preferred
- Experience from using / configuring embedded SW toolchain (ex. Linaro, Jenkins, Docker, etc.) (required)
- Low level algorithm implementation experience required (ex. ARM NEON, DSP accelerators or ASM)
- Documentation skills (you don’t need to love it but you do it well and understand its value)
- SW architecture experience required (at least at the sub system level)
- Signal processing experience required (video processing strongly preferred)
- AI experience highly valued (willingness to learn required)
- Experience communicating with external stake holders (ex. customers) is required
- Experience working under an Agile framework (ex. SCRUM)
- Technical lead experience (required)

Salary Range :
$174,900.00-$234,740.000
