Accounts Payable- Bookkeeper
Location : Chicago, IL
Compensation : $65000 - $75000 / Year
Benefits : This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
Job Description
Accounts Payable Specific :
- Process payments for a variety of expenses, including legal services, operational costs, and vendor invoices, prioritizing them for timely payment
- Verify the accuracy of vendor invoices and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions
- Monitor and manage outstanding balances
- Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
- Daily review of bank accounts for deposit transactions, report same to Billing Manager and partners.
- Approval of ACH and Check Positive Pay transactions.
- Assist with month-end closing processes
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure proper coding of expenses
- Review and process expense reports
- Maintain vendor files and contact information
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve issues
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Support audits by providing documentation and explanations as required
Qualifications
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks.
