JOB DESCRIPTION BUYER / PURCHASING
PrideStaff Financial is looking for a Buyer / Purchasing Professional who is energetic and willing to learn for an established Manufacturing company that offers learning and growth opportunities as well as a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401K plan!
The Buyer / Purchaser is responsible for supporting the Purchasing Manager with the planning and managing the replenishment process by purchasing materials that support the production schedules.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Execute and track purchase orders
- Quote and invoice reconciliations
- Authorize payments and maintain receipts and records
- Oversees and maintain current inventory
- Researches, analyzes, and forecasts current and future buying trends, markets, styles, and products, with attention to specified target market and demographics
- Develops and maintains relationships suppliers
- Assesses financial risks of purchases
- Ensures delivery deadlines are met
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills / Abilities :
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Efficient typing skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and legal aspects of purchasing.
- Ability to compile information and make decisions.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and Experience :
- At least two years of purchase experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or related field preferred.
