The Dinex Group, the restaurant group of Chef Daniel Boulud, is looking for a Banquet / Catering.
The Banquet / Catering Cook is responsible for the daily production, prepping, and assisting with execution of catered events.
Candidates should be hard-working and focused individual who is passionate about hospitality. The Banquet / Catering Cook s hould have the ability to provide the highest standard of service, superior communication and interpersonal skills, exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle a high volume environment.
Essential Duties :
- Maintain the level of standards established by Daniel Boulud
- Perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills including but limited to preparation of soups, sauces, stocks, frying, broiling.
- Responsible for food production including but not limited to quality assurance, cost / waste control, and all related tasks
- Ensure that needed supplies are on hand
- Able to work multiple stations in the kitchen and maintain flexibility
- 2 years of previous line experience preferred.
- Requires minimal supervision
- Have strong English communication skills, verbal and written. Spanish language skills a plus
- Clean equipment properly according to standard procedures.
- Keep workstation clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked.
- Provide input for menu design
- Assist with cafe / retail production as needed.
- Work cooperatively with co-workers and management.
Schedule :
Monday - Friday, but schedule may vary
