The SVP, General Merchandise Manager (GMM) holds a strategic leadership role. They possess the ability to develop the vision of multiple categories and execute the assortment plan by channel that aligns with the top-line financial plan.
An entrepreneurial mix of visionary strategy development, exceptional financial business acumen, a strong understanding of merchandising, and the ability to lead a large team are all required for this position.
The leader maintains a progressive, customer-centric approach while holding teams accountable for delivering on sales and profit objectives without operating in the tactics of the day-to-day.
What You Will Do
- Develop strategic plans for the leader's managed categories to boost sales, profits, and customer experience.
- Build and sustain robust partnerships, both within the organization and externally.
- Take proactive steps to achieve business objectives.
- Demonstrate strong inspirational leadership to build a loyal following.
- Effectively manage a significant P&L, with responsibility for critical profit drivers.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of Omni business operations, including marketing strategies, staffing, and financial management.
