Stone Enterprises is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized HR / Payroll Specialist to join our growing team. This role is responsible for supporting HR operations, managing payroll processing, and ensuring safety and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR best practices, payroll systems, and a passion for accuracy and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity in HRIS and payroll systems
- Administer benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and HR policies
- Prepare reports related to payroll, headcount, and compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety, labor laws and internal policies
- Support audits and year-end reporting (WC, W-2s, ACA, etc.)
- Collaborate with Finance and HR teams on cross-functional initiatives
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or related field2+ years of experience in payroll and HR administrationProficiency with payroll systems (e.g., Asure, ADP, Paychex, or similar)Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll regulationsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to handle confidential information with discretionStrong communication and interpersonal skillsPreferred Qualifications
