job_description.job_card.job_descriptionManage, train, and motivate production staff to ensure a skilled, productive workforce. Foster a culture of safety, quality, best-in-class processes, and continuous improvement. Provide feedback in performance reviews and provide coaching to enhance team performance. Ensure production processes adhere to regulatory requirements, including ISO 13485 and FDA guidelines for medical devices. Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with all quality standards and address any quality issues promptly. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices to maintain high-quality output. Oversee the procurement of raw materials, equipment, and other resources needed for production. Manage the maintenance of machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. Implement cost-effective strategies to optimize the use of resources while maintaining high production quality. Ensure that safety protocols are followed, and that all team members are trained in workplace safety. Implement risk management strategies to prevent incidents and ensure a safe working environment. Other duties as assigned At least 5-7 years of experience in production management, with at least 3 years in a medical device manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA, GMP) specific to medical devices. Proven track record of leading teams and managing production operations effectively. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, informed decisions. Proficient in production management software and tools, with experience in lean manufacturing principles. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field preferred. Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours) Capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly Frequent bending, reaching, and walking throughout the shift Manual dexterity required for handling products and equipment Fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse setting Exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations typical of production and storage areas Must comply with all safety protocols, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Comprehensive Health Coverage : Medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your dependents. Position Overview
The Production Manager will oversee and manage the manufacturing operations of Perio Protect dental medical devices, ensuring efficient, high-quality production in compliance with regulatory standards. This role will be responsible for driving operational excellence, maintaining quality control, managing production teams, and ensuring timely delivery of products.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Management
- Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring alignment with company goals and deadlines.
- Monitor daily production activities, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
- Coordinate with lab and production leadership to maintain an uninterrupted production flow.
- Analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for optimization.
