Logistics Outbound Shipping Clerk

Summary : The Logistics Outbound Shipping Clerk will be responsible for effectively managing communication between customers, transportation carriers and the Company.

The individual will provide daily support through the answering of phones; processing BOL’s, signing out drivers, entering in / out times in one network, filing of BOL’S and creating UPS tracking numbers for shipments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for answering phone calls and providing customer assistance
• Responsible for correctly signing out drivers
• Accountable for processing all BOL’s
• Responsible for accurately communicating all carrier arrivals to DC supervision.
• Responsible for entering in and out times in one network.
• Actively maintain Logistics logs and keep information up to date
• File BOL’S in number sequence for easy access if that shipment in needed.
• Need to create UPS tracking numbers within UPS shipping network.
• Participates in the process of keeping the shipping office in efficient working order

We're ideally seeking individuals that are able to work a swing-shift and 2nd (afternoon / evening) shift.

Education and / or Experience Ideally incumbent will possess a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Lotus Notes Contact Management systems; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.

Salary Description $18.50 - 21 / Hourly
